Summary of Position: Inspector - Finishing
The finishing inspector is responsible for performing in-process & final inspections on complex components with tight tolerances. They must have experience using 10X magnification microscopes & 3X magnification with a strong understanding of visual characteristics. They must have experience with optical comparators, height gages, calipers, micrometers & other various measuring and test instruments. They must ensure the product is acceptable to blueprint tolerance and various specifications. The Finishing inspector is required to accurately document the results of product inspections. They are responsible for completing part packaging per written packaging instructions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform final inspection per designated inspection checklist
- Document all inspection results
- Identify & report nonconforming product
- Perform other quality-related tasks as designated by the Inspection Foreman or Quality Manager
- Package parts per written instructions
- Attention to detail
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Minimum high school degree or equivalent
- 2 years of related inspection experience
- Ability to read basic blueprints
- Ability to use most inspection instruments & gages including 3x and 10x magnification inspection § Computer literacy.
- Quality inspection
Pay rate: DOE: $16.00-$17.00
