Since 1983 Fruge Seafood has been a local company with a global reach. We are based in Branch, LA, and our main distribution facility is located in Grand Prairie, TX. Fruge Seafood currently distributes premium seafood to restaurants in a three-state region including Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. Fruge Seafood distributes seafood and crawfish to restaurants but is only one of three family companies. Fruge Spirits, also known as J.T. Meleck Distillers, is an upstart distillery that makes handcrafted rice spirits from the rice we harvest on our farm, and Fruge Aquafarms runs an e-commerce site known as CajunCrawfish.com that ships our live crawfish direct to consumer nationwide. Two well established companies paired with an aggressive upstart in the craft spirits business has diversified the Fruge Companies reach. Job Description
Fruge Seafood Company is seeking a motivated Account Manager to help maintain our business in multiple markets. Through outstanding customer service and clear communications, the Account Manager will answer phones, accurately take orders, purchase product and communicate with existing customers. Must possess a good attitude, be devoted to continuous improvement, and love to win! Seeking candidates that are performance-driven and want to work in a high energy, team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will possess an intense work ethic and extremely high integrity.
Responsibilities:
Accurately enter orders and effectively communicate with current customer base.
Maintain database of qualified leads through marketing efforts, referrals, canvassing, face-to face meetings, emails, cold-calling, networking and research
Assists Outside Sales Reps development and implements short and long-term plans to meet company sales goals
Evaluates and determines the appropriate marketing and promotional approaches for each client or prospect
Creates and nurtures effective relationships with key players in the seafood industry, including co-workers and current/future clients
Maintains a high degree of ethical behavior in all aspects of daily business
Develop and maintain collaborative relationship with outside sales reps and drivers to build teamwork and client strategies
Builds trust, values and collaborates with others, drives execution, and fosters innovation
Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines
Maintains a thorough understanding of company products and services Other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications
Previous restaurant industry experience required, 10 years preferably
Verifiable track record of success in customer service, preferably in the food service industry
Must be exceptionally customer-focused; willing to find creative ways to network and build customer base
Must be persistent, tenacious, and proactive
High energy self-starter; brings energy and enthusiasm to the team
Outstanding communication and presentation skills Must have dependable transportation and a clean driving record
Must be able to articulate product lines and present a professional business manner over the phone and in-person
Must be able to negotiate favorable terms and provide the highest-level of customer service to new and existing clients
Proactive troubleshooting, listening and problem-solving skills
Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multi-task
Ability to interact with a diverse population
Ability to accept and evolve with changes in policies and procedures
