Join our team as an Inside Sales Representative (ISR), responsible for achieving revenue growth through direct sales, account prospecting, and sales support functions. The ISR will work directly with Customers requesting price quotes via the internet for assigned territory at the direction of the District Service Manager. The ISR will also seek to garner future business through prospecting/cold calls within assigned territory. The ISR will also be available to assist the DSM and Service Inside Customer Service Team with quotes when work loads are such that it is necessary to provide support to ensure customer satisfaction.
This is a hybrid based position. To support and service our customers in this assigned territory candidates must be based out of one of the following areas: Greater Mentor, OH
Contract Renewals & Warranty Conversions:
Responsible for partnering with our Customers to renew contracts, evaluate and upsell equipment/coverage options while accessing continued business opportunities.
Partner with key business stakeholders including District Service Managers and Field Service Technicians to provide recommendations on the best course of action for renewal opportunities.
Manage the quoting process from start to finish which includes: creation, delivery, timely follow-up, and purchase order finalization.
Overcoming objections while maintaining a professional customer relationship.New Business Pipeline:
Work with all stakeholders to coordinate an account strategy and identify new business possibilities.
Coordinate the account strategy with District Service Manager to maximize new business opportunities.
Track progress for new business throughout the sales pipeline.
Overcoming objections while maintaining a professional Customer relations- Probes to fully uncover and understand Customer needs, objectives and goals and effectively matches our products, services and technologies to assist in solving Customer issues
- Establishes routine call patterns for contacting existing STERIS install base by telephone and other means to generate sales for all Life Sciences services in North America. Also provides early notification of new products and process enhancements coming into the market.
5. The ISR will work with the Marketing, DSM and/or SAM to formulate hunt lists of established and potential Customers, to generate leads and ensure customer satisfaction of previous projects.
6. The ISR will work with Marketing on new initiatives requiring follow up on e-mail campaigns.
7. Effectively communicates the strengths and competitive advantages of STERIS products, services and technologies and how the application of these can assist the Customer in meeting their objectives. Uses current available tools to provide a total solution to the Customer, to ensure their service needs are met.
8. Anticipates and shares emerging trends affecting Life Sciences Customers with Sales and Marketing leaders to ensure that STERIS's response is out in front of competitor's responses.
9. Assures Pricing/Margin offerings to Customers are consistently within the guidelines established.
10. Consistently acts in a manner that meets or exceeds Customer expectations while considering the reasonableness of request and fairness to STERIS.
11. Establishes and maintains ongoing relationships and communications with the field and corporate support departments such as Customer Operations, E-Businesses, Distribution, etc.
12. Prepares and provides daily, weekly, and monthly statistical information for reporting purposes utilizing various computer modules / programs to ensure appropriate and accurate documentation and data report occurs. Participate in special projects as assigned.
13. Serves as the Customer liaison within STERIS to resolve Customer issues or concerns that may be voiced during a sales call.

- Bachelor's Degree
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of five years of customer/sales experience:
- Customer experience in a service business preferred
- Inside or outside sales experience preferred
- Proven track record and demonstrated initiative in driving results
- Strong focus on servicing each customer, ensuring their expectations are met, providing solutions that meet their needs
- Self-starter
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Must be able to be compliant with hospital/customer credentialing requirements
