Form of work Job Description Represents the company for the sale of machinery to walk-in customers Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership, with an emphasis on <90hp tractors, implements & attachments as well as Turf products Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management, accordingly Has a retail-selling emphasis (understands task-oriented questions to ask, validates customer requirements, proposes solution, offers demonstration and moves to close) Maintains all customer information for sales management Knows and follows a defined sales process Maintains assigned company vehicles and equipment Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events Conducts new equipment demonstrations Monitors trends in customer's business activities and timely communicates to management Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods Attends applicable sales training events/seminars May maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes Track daily equipment inventory moves in dealer operating system. Insure inventory information is correct in dealer operating system. Handle sales of Commercial Work Products Help with walk in and phone sales/passing off to a field rep as needed Quote rental rates to customers and salespeople Quote machine and attachment prices to customers and salespeople Inspect machines prior to leaving/upon arriving to the yard on rent, demo, etc Line up hauling for machines to and from jobsites and insure correct invoices of services Assist salespeople in finding equipment to suit their customer's needs Work with other inventory coordinators to insure availability of machines Work with other inventory coordinators to move old/used inventory Insure rentals are billed out correctly Keep the equipment and attachments in stock organized and the yard clean. Negotiate with vendors and order attachments for equipment as needed "Receipt in" new and used equipment Requirements include: 1+ years of retail sales experience Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices preferred Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions Ability to work flexible hours Excellent customer relationship skills Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports High School Diploma or equivalent work experienceAbove all, you'll be a reliable and friendly team player who has a natural aptitude for problem-solving and is eager to contribute to an established, growing company! #indeedsalesWorking at James River EquipmentAbout the BenefitsThe successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary (negotiable based on experience) plus commission.
