Inside Sales Assistant - Sacramento, CA
Compensation: $18 - $20 per hour
Overview:Nexus HR is looking for an Inside Sales Assistant to act as the energetic liaison between our Marketing and Sales teams. Your role will be to seek and actively pursue new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential clients.
Client-highlighted qualifications - 3 years of experience working in a business-to-business customer service or administrative capacity in the Marketing Industry.
About the Job:
Being successful in this role requires previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with prospective clients from first contact to closed deal. You will also ensure proper after-sales service through onboarding handoff and communication support. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
- Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
- Present our company to potential clients
- Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
- Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
- Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
- Follow up with Account Executives on their leads and appointments set
- Keep the Account Executive CRM data entry up to date
- Write up estimates for the Account Executives in the field
- Report to the Sales Manager on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as an Inside Assistant, Sales Account Executive or similar role
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
- Track record of achieving sales quotas
- Experience with CRM and/or project management software (ex: HubSpot, ClickUp)
- Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to deliver engaging presentations and communication
- BS degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field preferred
- Ability to work in office full time in Sacramento, California is required
