Plastic Injection Prprococess Technician
Shift: 1
st (7AM – 4PM)
Pay: Competitive wages, based on experience
Responsibilities:
All technical aspects of the Molding Process (ex. Setting Molds, Entering Process Parameters, Trouble Shooting Issues) to produce molded parts for production tooling, sample tooling and prototype tooling.
To Be Successful in this Role you must be able to:
Set up injection molds into a plastic molding machine.
Operate injection machine and trouble shoot as needed.
Develop new Molding Process from scratch on new tooling.
Run Process Development Studies
Read part drawings and specifications.
Maintain production levels.
Experience with Mold Assembly / Disassembly.
Other duties as assigned.
Ability to work overtime if needed. (Rare)
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to read part drawings
Mechanically inclined
Basic math skills
Valid Michigan driver license
Ability to perform Mold Validation Testing with customers.
Operate overhead cranes and fork trucks
Strong verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Proven experience in a manufacturing setting
Able to use basic hand tools, including wrenches, impact drivers, calipers and micrometers.
Able to Lift 55 lbs.
You should be proficient in:
- GD&T
- Tool/Die/Mold Setup Experience
- Blueprint Reading
- Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
- Injection Molding Experience
Salary info:
$15 - $30 / hr
