Job Description
The Role
The Injection Molding Process Technician is a highly visible and critical role within Cirrus. This individual will provide hands-on technical expertise to help take our Injection Molding capabilities to the next level of competency. In this role, you will collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, and external mold shops to launch new mold programs as well as optimize existing mold programs (e.g. reduce cycle time, reduce downtime, reduce scrap, and achieve productivity requirements).
Responsibilities
Establish, optimize and document Injection Molding Process parameters
Establish, optimize and document injection mold changeovers
Perform injection mold changeovers
Establish and perform injection mold and injection machine preventive maintenance
Establish and maintain injection mold and injection machine spare parts
Perform advanced injection mold troubleshooting
Perform basic injection mold and injection machine repairs
Organize injection mold and injection machine maintenance performed by mold shops
Provide plastic part and injection mold design feedback to Manufacturing Engineering to support design for manufacturability
Assist with training of Manufacturing Technicians as needed
Assist with plastic part processing as needed
Ability to follow all safety requirements
Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 5 years of hands on Injection Molding experience including:
Functional knowledge of injection molds
Functional knowledge of Injection Molding machines
Establish and optimize Injection Molding parameters
Perform injection mold and injection machine preventive maintenance
Perform injection mold changeovers
Perform advance injection mold troubleshooting
Perform basic injection mold repairs
Independent and self-motivated
Good verbal and written communication
Physical Requirements
Fine and/or gross motor skills, including the ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of up to 100lbs. Be able to lift up to 50lb.
Ability to stand for duration of shift
Close visual focus required

Hourly, non-exempt
