Overview
Responsible for the coordination and management of vendor throughput for the system.

Responsibilities
Manages and directs all aspects of Vendor Operating Room (OR) inventory, system-wide.
Delivers received supplies to users. Logs and shelves supply and reagents rotating stock appropriately.
Coordinates with the OR staff and vendor representatives the workflow of incoming/outgoing loaner instrumentation.
Assists in the preparation and packaging of loaner instruments trays for sterilization.
Performs onboarding and management of vendor credentials in the system.
Oversees the daily activities related to Vendor Supply Chain Operations for multiple department functionality.
Conducts audits for Vendor Inventory Integrity/Accuracy, best practice.
Maintains and or responds to systems/databases (to include patient charge capture).
Serves as a reliable and responsible resource for all hospital personnel regarding vendor supply needs.
Coordinates with the respective campus Surgery departments the transfer of needed instruments trays from one campus location to another for surgical cases.
Updates or researches the manufacturers' Instruction for Use (IFU) guidelines for the cleaning, packaging and sterilization of loaner trays.
Performs the inventory control of in-house vendor consignment trays for select Surgery Specialty Services.
Maintains the organization of the loaner tray/implant vendor drop-off room.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Required
High school diploma or equivalency (GED)
Preferred
Associate degree
EXPERIENCE:
Required
One year experience in Sterile Processing or one year experience with instrument tracking systems
Preferred
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required
Sterile Processing certification (CRCST or CSPDT) within one year of hire
Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist (CSIS) within one year of hire
