Key Responsibilities:
responsible for generating innovative ideas for content while working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The position researches backup and storage products, backup and storage services, bakcup ans storage technology or concepts to be documented and easily understood by a broad audience.
The Lead Technical Writer is responsible for taking complex, technical information related to backup and storage prodcuts used at the customer and translating it into an easily understandable format, per customer guidelines. The Lead Technical Writer will work closely with internal employees to interpret specifications, engineering drawings, reports, test plans, configuration schemes and other data to ensure production of technical documentation that complies with customer requirements. The Lead Technical Writer will spearhead training and answering questions from employees regarding specifications as required.
Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft PowerPoint is required
Intermediate level of proficiency with desktop publishing tools is required
Intermediate level of proficiency with desktop publishing tools is required
Work with customer’s SMEs to understand the high-level overview of the Enterprise Critical Infrastructure (ECI) and obtain relevant information required to develop a comprehensive restoral plan in a timely manner
Highlight potential gaps to effectively restore critical services.
Review with the SMEs, IPR team members and control partners once the restoral plan has been developed to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Experience with Quality Control reviews
Experience with technical recovery and/or technical Business Continuity Planning
Strong analytical skills and logical thinking
Attentive to details
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to collaborate and build partnerships across different teams
Ability to work under pressure and meet competing requirements
Prior experience in conducting technology assessments
Prior experience working on audit and regulatory issues
