Information Systems Assistant

PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

· Performs a variety of Information Systems (IS) development, maintenance and support functions with minimal supervision.

· Responsibilities may include but not limited to: design and development of forms and reports for software applications and website, administration and technical support of the hospital’s computer network and client-server software, preventive maintenance, cabling (install and removal), analysis of both network and electrical systems, as well as providing technical support and coordination of IS training and presentation resources.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Performs routine hardware troubleshooting, upgrading, cleaning and repairing of Windows-based client computers and peripherals.

· Installs upgrades and maintains software including but not limited to: Worx Hub, Antivirus software, Microsoft Windows, Apple products, Microsoft Office Suites, and HIS applications.

· Responds to user hardware and software problems in a timely and professional manner.

· May assist the CIO with project planning and budget development and tracking.

· May assist the CIO with systems administration tasks.

· Researches new hardware and software needs based on supplied requirements. Prepares recommendations for purchase and/or testing of hardware and software to the CIO.

· Coordinates use of Training Room and related equipment. Works with Human Resources staff to provide software application training opportunities for employees.

· Keeps and maintains an orderly and professional office as well as supply room or rooms.

· Maintain a professional and courteous attitude towards Mason District Hospital employees and patients.

· Installs, evaluates and maintains the Hospital network (computer inventory, camera maintenance, network cabling/audit and printer maintenance) both public and private.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.35 - $30.39 per hour
