POSITION SUMMARY:
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent (Must provide proof at time of interview) Completed an accredited dental assisting program by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association and one (1) year of clinical dental assisting experience in a dental clinic or hospital setting -OR
- - three (3) years of clinical dental assisting experience in a dental clinic or hospital setting (Must provide Official Transcript or proof at time of interview)
- Valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification (Must provide proof at time of interview if already obtained)
- Certification in coronal polishing and dental sealant
- Certified by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB)
- Bilingual in English/Spanish

When applying for employment with the Cook County Health & Hospitals System, preference is given to honorably discharged Veterans who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States for not less than 6 months of continuous service

A copy of a valid State ID Card or Driver’s License which identifies the holder of the ID as a Veteran, may also be attached to the application at time of filing.
