The Prospective Group (TPG) is seeking an Industrial Security Support Researcher (ISSR) to support the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). The ISSR position supports DCSA’s risk-based Industrial Security oversight mission by providing impactful pre-Security Review research and analysis relevant to the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). Research sources vary, but are primarily limited to commercial and government databases, controlled unclassified information (CUI), and publicly available information (PAI).
Responsibilities:
The Industrial Security Support Researcher (ISSR) will be responsible for the following:
- Producing impactful research and analysis of potential risks to cleared defense contractors (CDC) and Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
- Identifying and reporting potential vulnerabilities associated with the CDC.
- Identifying and reporting possible OPSEC or other security issues associated with the CDC.
- Identifying and reporting possible violations of 32 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Part 117 requirements.
- Authoring professional work products and meeting established deadlines.
- Working in a collaborative on-site work environment at DCSA or independently through customer approved telework.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least three (3) years' experience with security-related data systems such as the National Industrial Security System (NISS), and the Defense Information System for Security - Joint Verification System (DISS-JVS), OR three (3) years' experience in intelligence or counterintelligence.
- At least three (3) years' experience in program management support.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Knowledge of the principles of OPSEC and OSINT.
- Familiarity with new CUI guidance and directives.
- Ability to understand and apply the principles of research to analyze, evaluate, and interpret raw data collected from multiple sources.
Preferred Skills:
- At least five (5) years' relevant experience in business analysis, intelligence, counterintelligence or Industrial Security.
- Familiarity with the NISP and 32 CFR Part 117 requirements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages
