Purpose of Position
To provide mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and engineering support of production equipment and utility systems.

Regular Duties / Responsibilities
1) Perform mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic work.
2) Perform project, modification and installation work as directed.
3) Perform mechanical preventive, scheduled and corrective maintenance.
4) Fabricate / modify fixtures and other hardware for plant equipment.
5) Procure replacement / new supplies and inventory and maintain mechanical parts, tools, and stock materials which are related to the maintenance function.
6) Review Preventive Maintenance records to monitor machine performance and identify areas for improvement.
7) Accurately record data for activity reports, work request /job cards, and other administrative reports and forms.
Periodic Duties / Responsibilities
Support Mechanical Engineers within the Plant Engineering Department as required.
Provide technical support and assistance to Process Engineering and Production Personnel.
Design, build and implement mechanical solutions to machine problems.
Coordinate and manage assigned projects, including direct supervision of outside contractors.
Perform Plant Safety audits to identify faulty equipment / systems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skill Requirement
1) Associates Degree , or equivalent experience, in a related field or apprenticeship program is required.
2)1 to 3 years of experience in an industrial environment as a mechanic is required.
3) Machine installation and construction experience is required.
*This role will start on first shift and then move to second shift once trained (about 6 months).
