Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview
The Industrial Engineer plans utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations, consistent with current ISO requirements and safety requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Evaluates work area flow and makes modifications to equipment layouts if improvements are identified.
Skills and Experience
- 3 - 5 years related experience.
- Experience developing management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, and job evaluation.
- Experience analyzing work force utilization, machine capacities, facility layout, and operational data such as mass changes to operation sheets, production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment through use of computer technology.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles, ISO standards, Six Sigma, identification, and analysis of KPI’s.
- Can recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations and equipment, and purchase of equipment. Aids in establishing procedures, standards and work instructions conforming to ISO, SPC and other related engineering activities.
- Ability to perform classical Industrial Engineering functions including time studies, standard work, value Engineering and ability to lead Kizan events.
- Ability to develop and establish work measurement programs, performs, and analyzes work sampling and maintains standard data for the development of production rates, manufacturing costs and product route sheets. In conjunction with the Manufacturing Engineering Staff has primary responsibility for the maintenance and integrity of all Operation Sheets in the facility.
Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications and will be discussed during the interview process. The salary range for this role is $78,900.00 - $98,500.00 per year. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
