About the Job:
The purpose of this position is to support the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Division at the Indiana Department of Health by enhancing meaningful data access for the My Healthy Baby program. More specifically, this position will lead home visiting data exploration and sharing, detailed data documentation, standardization, and evaluation. This position reports directly to the Director of MCH Epidemiology and works in sync with other team members and partners, both internal and external, serving the MCH population.
A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are as follows:
The My Healthy Baby Data Coordinator is responsible for planning, leading, and structuring complex data exploration, sharing, documentation, and standardization.
Maintain key relationships to promote data trust and serve as a data liaison for home visiting partners.
Build, document, and maintain a thorough and detailed understanding of complex data systems, data collection forms and methods, and data storage among home visiting programs.
Work closely with home visiting programs to support data exchange and create shared benefits of data exchange.
Create and sustain very detailed data documentation for each home visiting program and ensure partner participation.
Work closely with the MCH Epidemiology Team in data standardization and analysis to support evaluation and reporting.
Monitor quality and accuracy of data and provide technical assistance to home visiting providers.
Participate in training opportunities related to home visiting and essential job responsibilities.
Staff must work closely with internal and external partners, including existing home visiting networks.
Staff will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with local implementing agencies, My Health Baby, Department of Child Services, Family and Social Services Administration, Help Me Grow and other local, state, regional, and national partners.

What You'll Need for Success:
Bachelor's degree is required. Areas of study may include public health, epidemiology, informatics, health administration, social work, or similar disciplines. Master's in public health preferred.

Ability to work independently and efficiently while organizing multiple ongoing projects
Highly motivated and able to take initiative
Outstanding organizational skills
Ability to communicate extremely well verbally and in writing - prepare written and oral reports and presentations that communicate necessary information to internal and external partners.
Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude
Able to work well under pressure and shifting priorities independently and as a team member
Working knowledge of organization and function of the Indiana Department of Health
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
The My Healthy Baby Data Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the Director of MCH Epidemiology. This role may serve as a team lead for an assigned work group.
