While this is a remote opportunity, we are only considering candidates in Miami or New York City as there may be occasional meetings in-person at one of our office locations. The ideal candidate is a legal luminary with a robust background in merchant cash advances and alternative commercial finance and lending, boasting a minimum of 5 years of legal expertise with working knowledge of debt collections. We are only considering candidates with a track record in collections and merchant cash advance litigation.
In this pivotal role, you'll be the linchpin, seamlessly connecting with management, external counsel, and third-party service providers. We're seeking individuals with a fervor for corporate law and a knack for navigating the intricate landscape of collections and bankruptcy litigation within the commercial lending sphere.

1. Case Management:
- Oversee and manage a diverse range of legal cases, including but not limited to bankruptcy proceedings, collections, contract disputes, and other corporate litigation matters.
- Provide legal guidance and support to internal teams on various legal issues.
2. Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing merchant cash advances and financial services.
- Stay updated on changes in legislation that may impact the company's operations.
3. Contract Review and Drafting:
- Review and draft contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to merchant cash advance transactions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure contractual compliance and risk mitigation.
4. Litigation Strategy:
- Develop and implement effective litigation strategies to protect the interests of the company.
- Work closely with external counsel when necessary.
