Job Description:
We are seeking an eager and motivated paralegal to join our team. This remote position offers the opportunity to work closely with Yolanda Mendoza and take on increasing responsibilities as you grow with the firm. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about immigration law.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with case preparation, including gathering and organizing documentation
- Conduct legal research on immigration laws, procedures, and precedents
- Draft legal documents, correspondence, and forms
- Communicate with clients, government agencies, and other parties involved in cases
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records
- Provide administrative support as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Paralegal certificate or relevant coursework preferred
- 2-5 years experience in immigration law is required
- Verbal and written communication in Spanish is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases
- Proficiency in Docketwise and Mycase a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Must live in the Miami area and be flexible to meet in the office for a few hours once or twice a week

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
