MKD Electric is seeking an experienced IC Panel Layout Designer. As part of this role…

What you will do…

The CAD/P&ID position is responsible for two essential functions within Bachelor Controls, Inc. (BCI). Individuals will develop P&ID drawings according to specifications set forth by the engineering team. CAD drafting responsibilities include control panel design and assisting the engineering team in the creation and updating of drawings.The purpose of this position is to produce P&ID and control panel drawings that represent BCI’s superior quality and attention to detail in the marketplace.

CAD Drafter

• Use the latest version of AutoCAD Electrical to prepare design drawings of 2-D Panel Layouts and electrical schematics as designated by the engineering team.
• Maintain drawing archive according to BCI standards and procedures.
• Utilize Project Manager to manage drawing revisions and changes.
• Follow version control procedures.
• Provide guidance and training for AutoCAD

P&ID

• Create P&ID from customer supplied Process Flow drawings.
• Be familiar with customer’s equipment and what instruments are required.
• Be able to draw in model space and set up paper space for multiple layouts.
• Use data extraction for creating Table of Contents.
• Follow version control procedures.

Other

• Complete time sheets daily, submit weekly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What you will need to succeed…

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent presentation skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook applications
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills Associates Degree or equivalent experience in AutoCAD
• Working Knowledge of electrical designs and systems
• Experience with AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD software
• Awareness of electrical codes and standards (NFPA, JIC, IED, UL)
• Motivated
• Self-Starter
• Time management skills
