Job Title: Remote Printed Circuit Board Layout Designer

A Remote Printed Circuit Board Layout Designer job is available with our client. In this role you will be responsible for performing detailed layout design and documentation of Printed Circuit Boards under the direction of electrical and mechanical engineers. To be considered for this role, you will have an Associates Degree in a related discipline and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. Due to the nature of the work performed in this facility, US Citizenship is required.
Remote Printed Circuit Board Layout Designer Job Duties:
* Work from schematics, net lists, part lists, and basic description of the board function, constraints, configuration, and arrangement as defined by electrical and mechanical engineers.
* Use the Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition toolset, including Layout, Valor, DRC Hazard Checker, Constraint Editor/Constraint Manager (CES), Drawing Editor, and other related tools
* Check drawings against the project input for correctness and conformance to standard engineering drafting practices and standards.
* Create electronic library symbols, geometry, footprints, etc.
* Run Valor and DRC Hazard checks to ensure your work is error-free and the design will meet expectations.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
* Associates Degree in a related discipline and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
* Extensive experience designing HDI Printed Circuit/wiring boards for high-speed designs.
* Well versed in MIL and IPC Standards.
* Familiar with the current Siemens/Mentor Graphics tools: Xpedition Design and Layout PCB, Valor (artwork checking tool), Constraint Editor/Constraint Manager (CES), Drawing Editor.
