Brief Description:
The Identity & Access System Administrator - Senior will assist with the technical design, planning, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the organization's IAM platforms. The successful candidate will have a deep and broad knowledge of identity access management, cloud Infrastructure, SaaS, and automation.
Detailed Description:
- Collaborate across teams to successfully plan, implement, and complete IAM project initiatives.
- Meet with key business leaders to obtain project scopes and effectively communicate requirements for planning and project approval.
- Lead and assist in the day-to-day management of IAM infrastructure to include Okta, Azure AD, and Active Directory.
- Assist with the security, maintenance, and monitoring of enterprise systems.
- Responsible for the automation of common tasks and processes.
- Maintain and document all technical configuration and procedures.
- Assist in afterhours maintenance windows.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- 2+ years of Okta administration experience to include provisioning users, managing access, and implementing new Okta applications.
- Strong understanding of Single Sign-On using SAML 2.0 and OIDC
- Configuration and management of password, MFA, and conditional access policies.
- Automating user lifecycle and application access processes leveraging Okta Workflows and scripts.
- Experience and knowledge of On-Prem Active Directory and Azure AD Administration.
- User profile attribute mapping through downstream applications.
- Requires the physical ability to occasionally lift items weighing up to 45 pounds, such as rack mounted servers, switches, batteries, and network appliances.
- Must be available to work overtime when necessary.
- Occasional travel required (less than 10%).
- Clear and effective communication in documenting problems and implementing solutions including partnering with end users.
- Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.
- Possess logical, organized work skills including the prioritization and timely resolution of multiple tasks involving simultaneous projects and issues.
- Experience leading or supervising small teams.
- Display ability to interact effectively and courteously with all staff, management, and operations personnel; and, to answer all questions effectively in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Ability to work under stress, meet multiple deadlines and maintain a calm and professional demeanor when adversity is encountered.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- 5+ years of experience in a Systems Administrator or similar role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Okta implementation and design experience
- Okta Identity Engine management
- Advanced experience implementing and designing Okta Workflows.
- Scripting / Automation (PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
- Automating user lifecycle with HR as a source.
- Okta AD and RADIUS agent configuration and management.
- Active Directory and Azure AD Administration
- Intune Administration
- Group Policy Administration
- Real-world Cloud Computing experience (preferably AWS & Azure)
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences or related field
Preferred Certifications:
- Okta Certified Administrator
- AWS CSA or SysOps - Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Additional Details:
Work is primarily in a climate controlled / office environment with minimal safety / health hazard potential. The employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time, stand, or walk with occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending and frequent near vision use for reading and use of computer, telephone and other office equipment. The job may require some overtime, including weekends or holidays and occasional travel is required.
Relocation is not required, through a remote work model candidates may reside in the Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Midland, and surrounding areas.
