Honeywell is hiring an engineer to be the lead of the Hybrids Lab within the Minneapolis Electronic Test Organization. You will be a contributor to an engineering team, partner with world class engineers and technicians to assemble and test Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits for use in Honeywell Radar Altimeter products. You will apply expertise to technical problems, find innovative & cost-effective means to improve production processes, techniques, and procedures. You will work with cross-functional departments to ensure project and lab success.
Key Responsibilities
Support day-to-day lab operations and the small lot production of Hybrid MMIC (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) devices used for Aerospace Radar Altimeters.
Work with production planners to develop optimal small lot schedule to meet planned demand.
Inventory management: identifying and tracking critical shortages, planning lead times, ordering lab materials.
Product and Production document maintenance and management.
Lead and manage equipment/process troubleshooting and repairs.
Perform RMA Processing and lead investigations and corrective action activities.
Ensure compliance to Honeywell Quality and Safety standards and processes.
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
5+ years' experience in production operations or laboratory environment.
Sound technical judgment and opinions. Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, based on fundamental technical information.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with other individuals in a team or project setting.
Ability to read/interpret product drawings, specifications, and schematics.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Demonstrated leadership behaviors and capabilities.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
