Duties, responsibilities and qualification requirements vary in complexity among grade levels as noted below:
GS-12: You must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 level. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience filling a variety of General Schedule positions which includes performing job analyses, creating vacancy announcements, and developing assessment tools to determine the best qualified applicants, completing or reviewing paperwork for a wide variety of personnel actions such as accessions, promotions, and reassignments for Federal government civilian employees; determining if applicants meet the qualification requirements for positions. Additionally, providing consultation and advisory services to managers regarding merit system principles, and practices of Human resource laws, policies, and regulations. Current DEU Certification strongly preferred.

Current DEU Certification strongly preferred.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.
