Personnel Security Specialist

Duties:

• Initiates the background check process.
• Experience working with e-QIP & eApp reviewing security forms
• Obtains fingerprints and accesses various systems to obtain reports and relevant information for suitability and security adjudications.
• Performs an array of technical, research, and administrative activities supporting the Personnel Security program.
• Conducts background investigations (T2, T2R, T3, T3R, T4, T4R, T5, T5R) for public trust and national security positions on applicants and contractors who perform work on behalf of the federal government in accordance with the 2012 Federal Investigative Standards.
• Performs review and adjudication of completed Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and Defense Counterintelligence & Security Agency (DCSA) (T1, T2, T2R, T3, T3R, T4, T4R, T5, T5R) to determine suitability for employment supporting GPO.
• Regarding adjudications, the candidate should be able to make recommendations for adjudications to management.
• If the candidates have already taken adjudications training through OPM/ DCSA for Public Trust & National Security positions, that would be a plus.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Years of Experience: 5 years

Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED

Work Hours: 6:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
Contract Length: 1 year with the option to extend.

Clearance level: Active Top Secret

Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000

• conducting background investigations: 5 years (Required)
