Human Resources Specialist (Employee Relations/Labor Relations)

This position is based out of the US Army Civilian Human Resources Agency (CHRA), Army Material Command (AMC) Human Resources Directorate, LMER Civilian Human Resource Service Center.Qualifications:

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Researching and interpreting federal/local laws/policies and case law to provide advice to management officials on a variety of Human Resources labor management and employee relations issues; 2) Recommending appropriate resolutions to interrelated Human Resources labor management and employee relations issues; 3) Interpreting negotiated collective bargaining agreements to advise management on union-related matters AND 4) Advising management officials on adverse actions, disciplinary actions, performance-based actions, grievances, unfair labor practices and union requests for information. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).Education: Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
