Responsibilities As a Human Resources Specialist (Employee Development), some of your typical work assignments may include: Exploring alternative and creative solutions to the human capital community by examining and challenging current employee training and development practices, training management, organization and cultural barriers to adult learning, etc. Providing program direction and management to one of the agency's leadership development programs. Plan, develop, and implement training policies and procedures for developing and delivering training throughout the agency.
Leading Employee Development efforts in implementing strategies and plans for employee training and development programs and practices with Agency-wide impact, such as those designed to enhance productivity and efficiency, and/or retain and develop a viable and efficient workforce for the future. Reviewing and evaluate employee training and development programs for impact in specific training program areas. Preparing reports and presentations on work accomplishments and administrative information, as required.
Reporting to the team on progress of meeting established milestones and deadlines for completion of assignments, projects, and tasks. Managing the agency's Learning Management System, advising partners with daily support. Requirements Conditions of Employment You must be a U.S.

You must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level.
Specialized experience is defined as: Experience applying technical learning theories, principles, and methodologies to provide Human Resources development services and programs. Additionally, applicants must possess experience or aptitude in at least one of the following areas: managing and monitoring training budget and procuring Employee Development services. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.
