Job Summary:

AFI is searching for a HR Representative to collaborate with our internal Operations teams to handle strategic HR related issues and concerns. This role will drive company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g. hourly wage review, workforce planning, and organizational change). We’re looking for someone who can act as the main point person for implementing and executing Human Resource plans and programs.

• Provides HR administrative support to employees.
• Promote HR programs and consistent application of policies and procedures.
• Participate in the development of staffing plans to meet operational requirements.
• Assure effective recruitment, selection and orientation of new employees and/or alternative staffing.
• Provide coaching and counseling to staff and managers on conflict and performance related issues.
• Payroll duties
• Ensure HR compliance with regulatory agencies and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Participate on several levels in our EOS management system.
• Support our Safety Committee and ensure we are compliant with OSHA regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in HR, Business or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in Human Resources is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Must exercise and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, use wrist, hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
