We are looking for an HR Recruiter that will identify, attract and evaluate candidates qualified to fill open positions at Asphalt Green, mainly for the Aquatics department.
Responsibilities:
- Learn and absorb Asphalt Green’s unique mission, history and culture. Become a part of the staff. Be equipped to share interesting, relevant information with prospective new hires to help them appreciate the value of working at our organization.
- Create a strong connection with the hiring manager(s) to ensure a deep knowledge of the program goals and requirements including desired headcount, pay rates, skill sets and certifications.
- Develop a deep understanding of the specific requirements for every role to be filled.
- Utilize appropriate sourcing methods to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates. Identify and build a flow of strong possibilities.
- Review resumes identifying those well-qualified applicants who meet the hiring criteria. Pre-screen those who are competitive. Coordinate follow-up interviews with hiring managers.
- Working with the HR Admin Assistant, facilitate offers and onboarding processes including the application, background check and required documentation.
- Track recruitment data including time to fill, source effectiveness and any other relevant metrics. Prepare and provide reporting as required.
- Maintain and distribute relevant recruitment reports and metrics for department heads and senior leadership.
- Actively research, identify, and attend high-value in-person and remote job fairs, hiring events, and information sessions aligned with organizational hiring needs and target talent pools.
- Utilize social media and personal expertise to successfully target passive applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of External Engagement (Marketing) to establish and maintain relationships with professional networks, educational institutions (universities and high schools), and local market talent community groups etc.
- Stay informed on industry trends and changes in the Federal, State and/or City labor market adjusting items as needed.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
- Demonstrated history of recruiting and hiring staff preferably in a non-profit environment
- Strong understanding of recruiting best practices and employment laws.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using Applicant Tracking Systems (Paycom or other similar systems)
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
