ABOUT THE CORPORATE HUMAN RESOURCES/ OFFICE BUSINESS PARTNER. . .
The Corporate Human Resources /Office Business Partner is a dual-role involving full spectrum Human Resources and office management responsibilities of ME Global Corporate office in Minneapolis. This role is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level in the following HR functional areas: wellness and benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment / employment, and employment law compliance. The office manager component of this position is responsible for overall front office activities, travel coordination and interaction with our international teams including our Board of Directors, office events, large purchasing requests and facilities and management of the building. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who is just as comfortable working autonomously as with a team. This candidate should be corporate culture-focused, bringing enthusiasm to the office and offering up new ideas and programs.
The candidate will be expected to perform the following responsibilities:
1. Drive a culture of excellence within the organization.
2. Develop, implement, administer and maintain wellness programs, policies and procedures.
3. Manage the recruitment, screening, hiring, and onboarding of qualified personnel to meet the office requirements.
4. Implement and annually update the compensation program; rewrite job descriptions as necessary; and conduct annual salary surveys; analyze compensation; monitor the performance evaluation program and revise as necessary.
5. Develop and administer employee relations programs and personnel development programs to meet the company’s obligations to employees and provide for future growth.
6. Manage wellness initiative that will meet the company’s objective for a healthy, dependable workforce with minimal on-the-job injuries or illnesses.
7. Serve as link between management and employees by handling questions.
8. Contact for global activities, including direct contact with BOD members.
9. Manage global expat program.
10. Responsible for management of the building, which includes but not limited to managing repairs, tenant issues, etc.
11. Responsible for the facilities day-to-day operations (such as distributing building access keys and back-up to security access cards, etc.)
12. Supervises and coordinates overall administrative and office activities.
13. Negotiates the purchase of office supplies and furniture, office equipment, etc., for the entire staff in accordance with company purchasing policies and budgetary restrictions.
14. Analyze training needs to design and monitor employee development.
15. Insure that positive employee relations are maintained. Insure the company’s management principles, policies and programs are consistently practiced.
16. Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel related data such as hire, transfer, salary/wage increases, performance appraisals, etc.
17. Participates as needed in special projects.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU . . .
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Human Resources.
- Combined human resource and office management experience preferred.
- A degree in Business Administration/Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Thorough understanding of employment laws.
- Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Effective human relations skills to plan, organize and control through management.
