The Human Resources Manager facilitates a broad range of daily Human Resources (HR) functions, serving as the onsite HR representative for US co-workers. Administers HR actions for US co-workers throughout the employee life cycle in the areas of talent acquisition, hiring, onboarding, retention, engagement, learning and development, and offboarding.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource activities including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Lead talent acquisition efforts for the sourcing and recruiting of US co-workers.
- Process co-worker hiring, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Manage the maintenance of personnel files and I-9's for compliance.
- Administer talent management and performance improvement actions.
- Facilitate employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, as assigned.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Liaise between co-workers and insurance providers to resolve benefit-related problems and ensure effective plan utilization.
- Process required documents through payroll and insurance transactions to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Serve as a back-up payroll administrator, when needed.
- Counsel co-workers on benefit plans and enrollment provisions so that individuals can make informed benefit decisions.
- Assist with preparation of Human Resources policies, procedures, documents, and reports.
- Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continuous improvement within the HR department.
- Maintains Human Resources information system (HRIS) records. Runs any required audits and compiles reports from the database.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years Human Resources generalist experience, supporting all aspects of the employee life cycle.
- Professional HR credentials or certification, preferred.
- Experience administering compensation through a payroll vendor.
- Experience utilizing an integrated HRMS.
