Job Summary
The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct all HR functions including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Payroll
- Oversees the administration of Workforce Management Software.
- Manage the preparation and processing of payroll for personnel weekly.
- Ensure all employee information is kept up to date.
- Administers benefits programs such as life, health, and dental insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
- Assist employees with signing up for ADP, Health Insurance, etc.
- Hand out weekly paychecks
Recruiting & Hiring
- Writes job descriptions and keeps them up to date as needed.
- Posts ads and recruits for vacant positions.
- Schedules and assists with employee interviews.
- Run employee background checks.
- Writes offer letters & negotiates terms of employment.
- Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services as needed.
- Track and pay out referral money.
Onboarding
- Oversee new employee onboarding.
- Complete all on-boarding paperwork.

- Send “Welcome Email” before employees first day

Discipline & Termination
- Supports department managers in ensuring all employees are compliant with Palmer’s rules and regulations.
- Ensures proper documentation of write-ups by management.
- Sits in on/assists with employee meetings regarding poor performance and termination.
- Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
- Represents the organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
Compliance & Record Keeping
- Writes directives advising department managers of Company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation, and employee benefits.
- Consult legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.
- Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law, local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
- Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and reporting.
- Communicates with corporate officers regarding Human Resources policies and practices.
- Keeps records of benefits plan participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
- Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
- Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
- Response to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Investigate accidents and prepare reports for insurance carriers.
- Coordinates Safety Committee meetings and acts as Safety Director.
- Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
- Keep employee manual up to date with any new policies or regulations. Ensure any changes are communicated to all employees.
General Office Management
- Ensures all positions have a written job description- update as needed.
- Oversee ordering of all office supplies.
- Ensure all office equipment is in working order.
- Manages employee lockers.
- Coordination of uniform purchases and keeping inventory
- Review and distribute mail.
- Ensure all permits and licenses are kept up to date.
Culture Initiatives
- Translates Monthly Newsletter to Spanish
- Keeps Texting App updated with employee information

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- At least two years of human resource management experience preferred. SHRM-CP a plus.
- Bilingual strongly recommended.

Special Considerations
● Some travel required from various office/ company locations.
● Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
● Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
● Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.

Pay: $75,200.00 - $110,000.00 per year
