Job Description
Position Summary:The Human Resources Manager supports the Executive team, and its employees in managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide solutions to complex employee HR issues in an effective and efficient manner, while maintaining the utmost level of confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and local legal requirements, including required employee training(s)
- Manage full cycle recruitment, will require to partner with several agencies at once to fulfill recruitment needs. May need to negotiate new and existing contracts with Agencies.
- Conducts investigations regarding any formal complaints or other employee relation issues
- Provide advice and guidance on employment matters to management.
- Maintains employee information up to date in ERP system and HRIS
- Manage and answer questions regarding leave of absences, unemployment, and Worker’s Comp claims.
- Keep the company security badge access system up to date along with Visual Compliance.
- Manage all employee onboarding/offboarding
- Process employment verifications
- Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems
- Manage benefits.
- Participates as a member of the Safety Committee
- Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures
- Manage and complete multiple projects and activities with strict time sensitive deadlines
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities/webinars & training as needed
- Required participation in internal training as needed to perform the duties assigned to this role
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or an equivalent combination of education and training
- Human Resource Management Certification, PHR, or SHRM-CP preferred
- At least 3 years of HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing setting required.
- Bilingual – Spanish required
- Working knowledge of HRIS platforms, with preferred experience in ADP Vantage
- Must have strong knowledge of Federal and CA employment laws
- Must have a high level of interpersonal skills and integrity to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Must possess strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills to create and present useful and actionable reports from data.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to guide all levels of employees
- Highly skilled in MS Office programs- Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Adobe Acrobat
- Must possess valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. May need to use personal vehicle for business needs during course of employment.
