Precision, contract machining business is looking for anexperienced Human Resources Manager with a minimum of 5 years' experience,preferably in a manufacturing or machine shop environment. This is anindividual contributor role that includes heavy focus on Employee Relations andHR Generalist duties to support the organization’s employees andleaders. This position is responsible for generating andimplementing personnel policies that promote a positive work culture while alsocreating an accountable workforce. The HR Manager will also beresponsible for ensuring all regulatory, safety, and training programs are inproper compliance and align with the goals of the company.
Dutiesinclude:
- Monitor employment practices and decisions to ensure fair and ethical practices that foster effective employee engagement and promote and maintain a high level of employee morale.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions).
- Manages and helps conduct Performance Reviews.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Ensure legal compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements. Responsible for ensuring employee records are complete, organized, and in compliance with any regulatory requirements.
- Manage, implement and administer benefits programs including health, retirement and paid time off.
- Investigate markets to determine competitive insurance products and recommendations for program and employee contribution modifications.
- Recommend, manage and implement employment policies and practices, staffing and rewards, communications and employee relations programs.
- Manages and conducts employee orientation, development and training.
- Weekly payroll processing.
- Maintain human resource information system records (HRIS).
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualificationsinclude:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; major in Human Resources Management or another related field preferred.
- Prior Human Resources and Leadership experience of 5+ years.
- Experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
- Proficient computer knowledge; working knowledge of HRIS systems.
- Must be detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy.
- Must be capable of setting priorities and working under pressure.
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.
