Sample Supports is looking for a highly motivated trainer focused on employee training. This individual will be responsible for ensuring completion of new hire onboarding and training. They will also be driving retention and engagement by evaluating the current training systems and developing new material and classes to aid in these areas. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is able to get new employees excited about our mission, and provide the training they need to be successful in their positions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinating, facilitating, and in-part delivery of training
• Offering specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills
• Presenting information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures
• Obtaining, organizing, or developing training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials
• Evaluating training materials prepared by instructors, such as outlines, text, or handouts
• Developing alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen
• Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills
• Establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them
• Providing guidance and expert advice to management or other groups on technical, systems-, or process-related topics
• Evaluate, validate, measure, and report on learning outcomes
• Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
• Maintaining file compliance and supporting completion of training deadlines for staff and contractors
• Providing additional administrative support as needed
• Providing direct care support to individuals with disabilities as needed

• NVCI and CPR Instructor Certifications a plus
• 1+ year verifiable training experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills
• Competency in computer skills including office programs and related agency software
• Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials; establishing priorities; and meeting deadlines
• Aptitude for the organization in implementing new and creative systems
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, growing business
• Embraces change and demonstrates continuous flexibility
• Due to the nature of the work performed at Sample Supports and working with an at-risk population, we do require a criminal background check be completed.
