People & Process DepartmentThe People & Process department is responsible for carrying out aligned-employee recruiting, increasing employee retention, managing company-wide people and process standardization, managing employee professional development opportunities.
Position SummaryThe HR Generalist at fit-flavors is responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, HR systems management, performance management, employee relations, continuous improvement initiatives, benefits administration, and policy adherence. They play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's HR processes run smoothly, from hiring and employee development to compliance and communication. This role is critical for maintaining a positive work environment and efficient HR operations at fit-flavors.

Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
Minimum of 2 years experience with HR systems and processes
Proven track record of creating and leading projects
Desire and willingness to develop professionally
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Background and/or interest in health/nutrition industry

Compensation$23 / hr (approx. $47,800 / year)
Key Result Areas & ResponsibilitiesRecruiting, Onboarding, & Offboarding (30%)
- Manage the full recruitment process, including updating Job Descriptions with department leaders, posting jobs, screening resumes and Culture Index surveys, conducting phone screens, scheduling on-site interviews, and making job offers.
- Facilitate new employee orientation and onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition into fit-flavors.
- Facilitate employee offboarding to ensure a smooth transition for the employee who is leaving and fit-flavors.
- Send a weekly Recruiting Newsletter to all hiring managers by the end of the day every Friday
HR Systems, Data, and Recordkeeping (20%)
- Own all troubleshooting, communication, and corrective actions for HR systems (PayCor)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, HR databases (PayCor) and internal HR spreadsheets.
- Prepare HR reports and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Performance Management (15%)
- Own the communication of all fit-flavors review and survey processes to all employees.
- Assist in executing the performance management process, including mid year reviews, end of year reviews, employee engagement survey, 360 reviews, and professional development plans (PDPs).
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees in addressing performance issues.
- Oversee the assignment, progress, and completion of Individualized Training Programs (ITPs) for all new or promoted goal-setting employees in collaboration with the employee’s manager.
Employee Relations (15%)
- Act as a point of contact for employees to address concerns, conflicts, and questions.
- Communication with the senior leadership team to facilitate the resolution of employee issues, working to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Serve as the communication liaison for all employees to keep them informed of all important dates, events, and processes.
HR Continuous Improvement (10%)
- Lead the on-time delivery of HR continuous improvement projects (standards, processes, systems, etc.)
- Proactively communicate changes that result from continuous improvement to necessary employees
Benefits Administration (5%)
- Work with the executive leadership team and benefits vendors to administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and support open enrollment processes.
Compliance & Policy Adherence (5%)
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures, as needed, and ensure consistent implementation.
- Ensure the fit-flavors Handbook is always up-to-date and own the communication of handbook updates and changes to all employees.
