Annie Malone presents a thrilling opportunity for an on-site Human Resources Generalist!
Job Summary:
As the Human Resources Generalist at Annie Malone Children & Family Services, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our organization's Human Resources. You will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment process and handling payroll for approximately 30 employees. Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Staffing:
- Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and draft job descriptions.
- Post job openings on various platforms and networks, including our website and job boards.
- Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and facilitate the selection process.
- Conduct reference checks and background screenings for potential candidates.
- Onboarding and Offboarding
- Contribute to the development and execution of onboarding processes and orientation programs for new hires, ensuring a thorough and seamless experience.
- Manage comprehensive new hire orientation activities, overseeing paperwork, providing training, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Conduct or facilitate background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Coordinate offboarding activities for voluntary and involuntary terminations, ensuring a smooth transition for departing employees.
- Employee Relations:
- Handle employee relations matters with a focus on conflict resolution and issue escalation.
- Address and resolve employee concerns, ensuring a fair and respectful workplace environment.
- Collaborate with HR Partner for complex employee relations issues, providing necessary information and insights.
- Escalate matters to HR Partner when needed, seeking guidance on appropriate resolutions.
Payroll Administration:
- Manage the full payroll cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Calculate and process employee hours, salaries, and deductions.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain payroll records and reports, including tax filings.
- Stay up-to-date with payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
Benefits Administration:
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
- Collaborate with benefit providers to ensure comprehensive benefit packages.
- Help employees understand their benefits and assist with claims resolution.
Personnel Records and Compliance:
- Maintain and update employee personnel records in compliance with legal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Assist in policy development and implementation to maintain a positive and compliant workplace culture.
HR Support and Reporting:
- Provide general HR support to employees, addressing questions and concerns.
- Generate HR reports and analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of HR experience, including recruitment and payroll processing.
- Proficiency in HR software and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, etc.).
- Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Must have a current Valid Driver's License
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the US
Salary Range:
The annual salary for this position ranges from $48,000 to $50,000.
