Human Resources Generalist

Abundant Professional Services is a subsidiary of Abundant Staffing Agency, LLC, a global provider of Human Resources Consulting, Recruiting, and Training.  Established since 2000. 

ABOUT THIS POSITION:  There are various Human Resources positions located throughout Virginia and are temp to hire positions. 

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions.  The position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas:  benefits administration, onboarding, policy implementation, attendance, affirmative action, and employment law compliance. 

Summary of Essential Job Duties: 

• Administers various Human Resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
• Plan, prepare and processes new hire information with multiple candidates nationwide.
• Responsible for company monthly reports.
• Handles exit interviewing.
• Creates forms, reports for the company.
• Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
• Creates and edits monthly newsletter using various software.
• Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
• Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

• Must be advanced in MS Word, Excel (VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables), and Publisher
• Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Three years of Human Resources experience required  

POSITION LOCATIONS: Throughout the state of Virginia 

DUTY HOURS:  Monday-Friday TBD

TERM:  TBD

SALARY:  Commensurate with experience
