What will you be doing?

Responsible for collaborating and advising business leaders on day-to-day operations serving as HR point person by providing support and guidance on Human Resources strategic planning, administration, implementation of procedures and policies, human relations, employee development, recruitment and selection, compliance, among other initiatives, ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and safety of the organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor HR strategies and initiatives by aligning with the overall business strategy.
  • Establish strategic goals by gathering information pertinent to the administrative and operational area; identifying and evaluating trends and options; choosing a course of action; defining objectives and evaluating results.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues, ensuring meets with company's conduct and ethical standards, local and federal compliance.
  • Plan and execute the recruitment and selection process by interviewing candidates, completing job offers, and conducting on board orientations.
  • Support current and future business needs by developing, engaging, motivating, and preserving human capital.
  • Manage and maintain the Human Resources information system (HRIS) by entering and updating personnel transaction information and data from all employees.
  • Oversee and manage performance appraisal system by driving high performance.
  • Assess, plan, design, implement and monitor training programs by meeting companies needs and career development plans.
  • Report to management and provide decision support by using HR metrics.
  • Ensure legal compliance by defining, coordinating compliance training (i.e. Security, Sexual Harassment, Domestic Violence, among others), and ensuring annual compliance throughout human resource management.
  • Generate periodic reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing administrative activities.
  • Keep management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing the information; identifying trends.
  • Understand the needs of leadership by assisting with talent planning, organizational structure changes, compensation planning and other Human Resources key initiatives.
  • Achieve staff outcomes by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating work outcomes, disciplining employees, initiating, and enforcing standards, policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Establish compensation and benefits programs by developing job descriptions, establishing internal equity, surveying the market for wages and benefits, monitoring salaries.
  • Manage and maintain the company's benefits area, i.e. Retirement Plan, Medical Plan, among others.
  • Establish policies, procedures, and guidelines aligning company values with local and federal requirements.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff in identifying, resolving and/or preventing conflicts, reducing the impact of factors that influence the effectiveness of their performance within the organization.
  • Plan, control and execute personnel actions (promotions, transfers, leave, terminations, disabilities, etc.), following established policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Prepare and coordinate activities for employees by increasing the satisfaction and retention of all the company's personnel.
  • Maintain historical reference of Human Resources and organizational records by developing and utilizing filing systems; and ensuring their retention and security.
  • Comply with legal requirements at the state, federal, and international levels by researching and adhering to statutory regulations.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and educational courses, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal and social networks.
  • Contribute to teamwork efforts by achieving desired results.

Requirements

To successfully perform this position, the individual must perform the essential tasks satisfactorily.   • Bachelor’s degree in business administration mainly in Human Resources or its equivalent, certifications in Human Resources (PHR or SHRM CP) preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of Human Resources experience handling highly sensitive and confidential information, preferably in the marketing industry.
  • Knowledge of state and federal Human Resources legislation.
  • Strong administrative experience
  • Ability to prioritize and work with multiple simultaneous tasks.
  • Attention to detail, independent judgment, and problem solving.
  • Extremely strong organizational, follow-through, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated background serving as an HR advisor and thought leader; as well as have a proven ability to identify solutions that develop teams and managers.
  • Ability to bring immediate credibility to the Human Resources function through his/her professional qualifications and leadership skills as well as project the highest levels of integrity.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish/English
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, database system, payroll, and accounting systems
