The (Sr.) HRBP also provides front-line support to people managers in the areas of talent, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and change management. This is a hands-on, highly visible role for a knowledgeable, customer-driven HR professional capable of building trust and earning credibility at all levels within the organization.
- Advise colleagues and people managers within assigned business groups on all employee relations issues, such as reductions in force, workplace assessments, workplace conflict, terminations, etc.
- Partner on sensitive, confidential, objective, and thorough investigations. Prepare reports of the findings, present findings to specific audiences, and make recommendations to address root cause issues. Review cases with Director of Employee Relations, as appropriate, to ensure thorough and compliant investigations.
- Direct the diagnosis and resolution of issues with increasing complexity, visibility and risk related to policy or culture concerns/violations and incident or threat response, independently or by collaborating with managers, peers in Human Resources and Legal as appropriate; recommend solutions to address issues from a systematic perspective (e.g., establishing new principles/tools) while prioritizing employee experiences to maintain a safe and professional work environment.
- Interpret trends in employee relations issues; design and recommend interventions and solutions to facilitate an open, inclusive environment that enables effective employee relations for assigned business groups.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the Legal department as necessary.
- Actively listen and provide coaching to employees and managers through complex and confidential situations.
- Support people managers through coaching on performance enablement and improvement in order to assist in the creation/follow-up of action plans around improving employee's performance.
- Provide coaching and advice on career development, recruitment practices, succession planning, compensation and performance management, diversity & inclusion, and other human resource practices.
- Conduct exit interviews to identify issues and trends in the team/department and provide recommendations on action plans for improvement.
- Monitor employee engagement and provide advice and recommendations on action plans to build on strengths and address areas of dissatisfaction/demotivation.
- Support operational workforce planning and support hiring managers to determine resourcing needs. Develop necessary information to support job leveling and compensation to prepare for hiring.
- Partner with HRBPs on people analytics reporting to communicate data to inform and support decision-making.
- In partnership with Talent Enablement, facilitate training to the business for HR-related programs (e.g., annual performance management review, compensation /bonus/equity) as required.

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business or a related field or a combination of relevant experience, education, and training.
- 7+ years’ experience in Human Resources or Business programs/processes with 4+ years’ of demonstrated business-facing HR experience
- 3+ years’ experience in direct employee relations
- 5+ years’ experience in Human Resources or Business programs/processes with 3+ years’ of demonstrated business-facing HR experience
- 2+ years’ experience in direct employee relations
- Strong understanding and experience with all HR disciplines, policies, and compliance
- Strong presentation creation and delivery skills
- Well versed in best practices for employee engagement and organization effectiveness
- Strong background in relationship management
- Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required.
- Work may require simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard and sitting for extended durations.
