THE JOB: The Human Resources Generalist coordinates the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including recruitment, onboarding new employees, administering leave processes, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. The role assists with executing department initiatives, providing internal support to management and employees and fostering a positive work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborates with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions
- Utilizes various recruitment channels to attract and source top talent and create HR marketing materials
- Conducts interviews, assesses candidates, and facilitates the hiring process
- Maintains recruitment and personnel records, files, reports, and organizational charts
- Facilitates new hire orientation and onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition for new employees
- Serves as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related issues
- Addresses employee concerns and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Promotes a positive work culture through proactive engagement and conflict resolution
- Serves as a member of the Employee Ownership Committee and organizes and coordinates culture-building activities, such as team-building events, celebrations, and initiatives to foster a positive work environment and promote employee ownership and employee engagement
- Compiles monthly employee newsletter content; creates newsletter articles and flyers; prepares other employee communication materials and manages the ADP homepage
- Administers employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks
- Assists employees with benefit inquiries, enrollment, and changes
- Supports the performance review process; works with managers to create development plans and assist in performance improvement initiatives
- Assists with goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning
- Identifies and tracks training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and performance
- Assists with developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety programs; monitors compliance with safety regulations and policies and organizes safety training
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, and new technologies in Human Resources and stays current on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Administers Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) processes, including tracking, documentation, and communication with employees; ensures compliance with FMLA regulations and company policies
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources roles, with a focus on HR generalist functions
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus
WORK LOCATION:
Realityworks, Inc. is located in Eau Claire, WI. This is a hybrid position, splitting time between working from a home office and working onsite at the corporate office, as assigned or required.
