About the Wellness Pet Company

The Wellness Pet Company crafts and produces premium natural pet food, treats, dental chews, and supplements. We believe that natural, premium nutrition focused on proven health outcomes is the foundation of creating mutual wellbeing for pets and their families. As a community of people, Wellies are positively obsessed with how to win for pets and their parents. We believe in the difference we make every single day, and we know that when we work collaboratively, Wellies are unstoppable - Not only in providing the best nutrition to pets, but in building a better tomorrow for pets, their parents, and the world.

Your #lifeatwellnesspet

When you join Wellness Pet, you join a team whose aligned values and purpose create a unique and exciting place to work every day. Join us on our adventure to fulfill a life of wellbeing together with pets and their parents – and join the team that is the face of the Company with new and potential Wellies! We are seeking a People & Engagement Coordinator to join our Human Resources Team. Reporting to the Director of People and Engagement and based out of our Burlington Office, you will play a critical role in making life go smoothly for current and prospective Wellies. Do you love being a go-to person to get things done? Do you love taking care of the small but mighty tasks that require attention to detail and make people smile? Then look no further – come for a walk with us today!

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Learn and grow while you support the P&E team with important administrative tasks, such as file management, policy compliance, reporting, employee relations, and candidate relations
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient interview experience for all potential Wellies by facilitating interview schedules and meeting spaces for interviews
  • Provide timely communication to candidates participating in the interview process, as well as for new Wellies in the pre-boarding phase
  • Greet our visitors and callers, making sure they are welcomed warmly and connect promptly with our team members
  • Partner with Hiring Managers during the onboarding planning to ensure each new Wellie is welcomed with a customized onboarding schedule and all the information and resources they need to be successful on Day 1
  • Act as the central point of management for office operations, from managing facilities requests to ordering supplies and coordinating inbound and outbound mail
  • Manage inbound and outbound mail and deliveries
  • Get involved in Employee Life by supporting the planning and execution of employee-facing activities, training, and events

Individuals in this role will flex their communication and calendar management skills and will develop client management and recruiting experience. You will also gain broad human resources functional experience that will allow you to pivot into a future Generalist role within Human Resources. This is a wonderful developmental role for a professional who wishes to progress in Human Resources.

Who We’re Looking For

Team Wellie is a group of people who are truly obsessed in all the best ways about winning for the consumer and the pets they love. And so, we are seeking an individual who:

  • Is consumer focused on all they do
  • Continually challenge themselves to go the extra mile to get the job done, and ensure it’s done the right way as opposed to the easy way
  • Hold themselves and others accountable
  • Embraces continual development through the sharing of feedback and investment in learning opportunities.
  • Is a true collaborator, sharing resources, and engages in healthy debate
  • Celebrates differences and strives to learn from others who are different from themselves
  • Gives back to their community and supports sustainable practices

In addition, for this specific role, we need someone who:

  • Is comfortable being the welcoming face of the Company, manning our reception area each daily
  • Has a strong sense of urgency and is eager to assist and guide others
  • Has proven success in scheduling candidate interviews in complex interview processes to ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience. Can demonstrate how they have partnered with others to maneuver calendar obstacles, keeping candidate experience top of mind.
  • Has worked in a corporate environment in a support function for a minimum of one year, reliably completing tasks such as greeting visitors, managing incoming and outgoing mail, and routing incoming calls.
  • Possesses a degree in business or a related field
  • Has excellent customer service skills: a polished demeanor and can communicate with grace and professionalism at all times
  • Is a master of time management with a high level of attention to delivering a quality work product. Can provide examples of their ability to complete time-sensitive tasks with excellence.
  • Within Excel, can demonstrate competency in building spreadsheets, working with exported reporting, and executing sorts, pivot tables, and data validation tasks
  • Has experience working with Microsoft Outlook and Teams file systems
  • Can build and edit slides in PowerPoint, both for presentation and documentation purposes
  • HRIS and ATS application experiences are helpful, but not required
