The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for completing administrative duties for the Human Resources department of an organization. They assist HR managers with recruitment, maintain employee records, assist with payroll processing, and provide administrative support to all employees.
Description
- Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
- Assist with the recruitment process by posting job ads on common recruitment platforms, reviewing, and identifying candidates, scheduling interviews, and sending employment offers out to choose candidates.
- Assist with the onboarding process of newly hired employees by conducting a welcome meeting/phone call, helping new hires with the completion of employment documents (I-9) and introducing new employee to the team.
- Assist with company benefit administration to include enrollment forms, plan questions, claims resolution, and open enrollment.
- Assist in managing workers’ compensation injury claims. File reports with insurance provider, maintain accident information and monitor progress.
- Assist with performance management procedures.
- Time Tracking
- Assist with the offboarding process of fired/dismissed employees by sending out termination emails, processing dismissal payrolls, and notifying other entities (insurance brokers) and departments (IT) about the dismissal so that offboarding can be completed.
- Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
- Managing overall administrative activities for the office (ei. Order printer ink)
- Coordinating office operations to secure efficiency and compliance with company policies.
- Remaining responsible for the day-to-day facilities operations including supervising the maintenance and alteration of office areas and equipment such as the layout, arrangement, and housekeeping of office facilities; purchasing office supplies, furniture, office equipment etc. for the entire staff
- Schedule maintenance/ repairs if anything breaks in the office.
- Review and stay on top of leases – inform COO if lease must be renewed.
- Performing administrative work such as typing, filing, sorting, and distributing mail; assisting with the preparation of correspondence to clients
- Forward important mail (especially from government institutions like the EDD, IRS, DOL, DOT)
- If needed, forward letters to Gusto to ask for clarification/help
- Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information
- Will be participating and supervising in a wide range of company projects and events
- Plans and schedules company events together with marketing team and company’s quarterly/annual holiday parties
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned
- Company vehicles – registrations, maintenance, etc.
Salary
$40,000 - $50,000 per year
