Come join the Hillendale Home Care team! We are a home care agency working with senior care clients and caregivers in Contra Costa and Alameda counties and we’re looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to work full-time, onsite in Walnut Creek (Mon-Fri) overseeing Human Resources practices and processes.
The HRBP will be responsible for partnering with leadership on all HR functions for the office including developing and implementing HR policies, people and performance management, leadership development, HR compliance, training, and retention programs. This role will partner with the leadership team in Walnut Creek on planning and providing coaching, counseling, and guidance around people development and management.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Develop and implement HR programs in alignment with business priorities including developing and updating HR policies and processes.
- Partner with leadership to coach and guide on people management and talent development.
- Support current and future business priorities through HR programs.
- Partner with Recruiting to ensure compliance with State and local hiring and onboarding requirements.
- Ensure HR compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records.
- Administer benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, etc.
- Handle disciplinary matters in conjunction with department managers.
- Develop and conduct training that provides support and resources for talent development.
Experience, Skills, and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Direct experience in the home care, healthcare, or staffing industry.
- 4+ years of Human Resources generalist/specialist or people partner/Business Partner experience.
- Must have strong technical skills with ability to interpret and present data to leadership.
- Experience working in Google Suite (Docs/Sheets/Gmail/Drive); proficiency with Excel for data presentation.
- Experience with Mac/iOS a plus.
- Strong ability to problem solve and manage priorities.
- Proficiency in labor law and HR best practices.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to clearly communicate information to all levels within the organization.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
