In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves reviewing regulatory guidance to recommend solutions on policy compliance, utilizing automated systems to update Human Resources personnel records, compiling enrollment documents to keep personnel records updated to maintain detailed records and assisting with scholarship processing to include counseling participants on program obligations to monitor financial transactions.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).Education: Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this position you may qualify if your education meets the definition below and is directly related to the position being filled:
One and a half years of graduate education meets the requirements for GS-08. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. (Transcripts must be attached).
OR
Have a combination of experience and education as described above which, when combined, is equivalent to 100% of the qualification requirement. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
In order to qualify for this position, based on your education, education substitution, or combination of education and experience, you must have either completed the education requirement, or will complete this requirement within thirty (30) days from the closing date of this announcement. If you will not complete this requirement within thirty (30) days of the closing date of this announcement, you will be rated as Not Qualified for this position.

APPOINTMENT INFORMATION:
Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or detail NTE (1 year) by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Position may be made permanent without further competition. Employees currently located in OCONUS (foreign or non-foreign) are not eligible for a detail to a CONUS position.
