Position Summary

The Human Resources Assistant will support employees and management in all human resource areas. Duties include processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll, recruiting, onboarding, benefits enrollment, and maintaining employee files.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage employee information records and benefits administration.
  • Responsible for full life cycle recruiting
  • Publicize job openings on the ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
  • Onboard new hires
  • Participates in all other cross functional areas of HR.
  • Process weekly and Bi-weekly payrolls.
  • Benefits enrollment.
  • Monthly payroll and benefit reconciliations, journal entries and audits.
  • Infrequent travel may be required to conduct multi-company plant visits in Ohio, MS and SC locations

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with proficient command of the English language (Bilingual a plus)
  • Dependable
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • High level of discretion and judgement

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree preferred in HR or business.

Team player with self-motivating skills

Must possess an aptitude for problem solving and knowledge of HR procedures and policies.

SHRM certification a plus

Willingness and ability to continue learning and grow within the industry.

This job requires the ability to physically stand, bend/stoop, kneel, lift and reach and other physical tasks during an 8-10 hour shift within a manufacturing plant environment. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to use their hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities are required for this job including close and distant vision. The noise level in the manufacturing plant can vary, noise reduction protective equipment may be required at times.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
