Human Resources Assistant

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures plant staffing levels are maintained to include interviewing and selection, pre-employment drug testing administration, and new hire orientation.
• Performs employee relations duties.
• Maintains current employee data files.
• Ensures consistent compliance to counseling and corrective action policies, as well as other personnel policies and procedures.
• Assist in recruitment
• Keeps work area neat, clean, and organized while working.
• Maintains a safe work environment and works safety at all times.
• Performs other duties as directed.
• Filing documents/Answering phone calls

Job Requirements:

• Previous Human Resources experience is helpful, but not required.
• Computer literate in electronic spreadsheet applications and word processing.
• Experience with desktop publishing and computerized timekeeping/payroll applications helpful.
• Attention to detail, good organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with others, as well as the ability to solve complex problems.
• Ability to manage time and complete tasks in a fast paced, complex work environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make decisions with minimal supervision
• Must be able to speak, read, write, understand, and communicate in English.

Schedule 8am-5pm M-F

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
