Due to our growth, we are looking for a full timeHuman Resources Assistant. Working hours will be Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Key Responsibilities for the Human Resources Assistant Position:
- Assist in scheduling various meetings and employee programs and events as related to the retention efforts of the firm.
- Communicate regularly with other departments, employees, applicants, brokers, and staff to provide information and assistance regarding new hires, promotions, employment, benefits, personnel records, and payroll.
- Create and maintain personnel files for all present and past employees of the firm.
- Support the annual performance review process by populating and maintaining all review documents.
- Maintain records of MCLE hours for all attorneys. Support attorneys through Legal Specialization process by registering them for necessary training and exams and advising attorneys of upcoming deadlines and requirements.
- Assist with preparing offer letters to new hires
- Collect all orientation and benefit paperwork and ensure all systems are updated for new hires.
- Review and pay invoices from benefit carriers to ensure accuracy of firm coverage. Work closely with benefits broker, carriers, and 401(k) administrator to ensure benefit administration is accurate.
- Maintain highest degree of confidentially concerning personnel actions, employee relations matters, legal actions, terminations, and organizational plans.
- Provide recommendations to the Director of Human Resources on process/system improvements, enhancements, training programs, and many other opportunities.
- Provide overall assistance and research support to HR and Finance teams on policies, programs, and procedures.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience working in ADP/Workforcenow software preferred
- Payroll experience a plus
- Must be friendly and able to work in a team environment
- Must be flexible
- Must be extremely detail-oriented and organized
- Calendaring experience a plus
