Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: The HR Specialist, designs, develops and delivers strategic employee learning and development programs including, but not limited to management and leadership development, new hire orientation, program onboarding, and career development through various methods including presentations to large or small groups, e-learning and interactive sessions, etc. Maintains agency Communication and Media plan. Assists as needed or assigned in other HR related duties including back up to payroll processing.
MAJOR TASKS:
Development:
- Recommends, designs, develops and implements innovative learning and development programs that support the full employment lifecycle, including onboarding, career development, wellness, succession planning, and management and leadership development. Program development and delivery facilitated both on-line and in person.
- Develops and implements program onboarding processes and procedures, maintains records and tracks outcomes.
- Continually monitors and evaluates effectiveness of programs and makes needed adjustments.
- Identifies, develops and offers training in the use of online resources and technologies to support organizational development.
- Maintains technical expertise and knowledge of best practices in online educational trends, changes and developments, and service strategies. Recommends new approaches, modifications or changes that will improve efficiency and/or effectiveness.
- Creates, maintains agency training database and assures training compliance for all programs.
Communication:
- Creates, maintains, implements and assures agency compliance with JFCAC's Internal and External Communication Plan.
- Creates and maintains agency Media Plan and monitors and promotes agencies media sources including but not limited to JFCAC's social media accounts.
- Maintains agency onboarding website.
Other:
- Provides back up to payroll processing.
- Assists with recruitment, job postings, applicant screening and background check functions.
- Manages Agency Volunteer program.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. Two years of related experience.
- Must have experience in Training and Development.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and provide current proof of insurance.
