SUMMARY POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Human Resources Manager’s position will prove to be exciting as well as challenging. We are looking for the right person to lead our HR and Talent team within our Dairy Store Division while building a successful and long term career. This position will be in the forefront of building and executing the HR and Talent initiatives for the Dairy Stores that serves the world’s greatest milk and ice cream. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Talent, Quality, and Safety.

Salary Range: $55,000- $80,000, Full- time Monday- Friday

Oberweis Dairy produces and distributes super premium milk and ice cream to six mid-western states, North Carolina, and Virginia through three distribution channels: home delivery, grocery stores, and a combination of company owned and franchised dairy stores. Oberweis Dairy has 42 dairy stores located in Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, and Michigan. Home delivery has 95 routes servicing 35,000+ customers in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, and Virginia while the Retail channel services 1,000+ accounts located in all the states mentioned previously. Oberweis Dairy is a family-owned company and headquartered in North Aurora, Illinois.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager - Stores will be, but not limited, too:

• Talent Finder – working with all Dairy Stores/That Burger Joint/Woodgrain Pizza to make sure we are finding and recruiting top talent into the this division
• Talent Evaluator – working with all Dairy Stores/Burger Joint/Woodgrain Pizza to build and improve training and development programs, feedback systems, continuous improvement of people, and on-boarding systems for new employees
• Talent Energizer – continue to improve and develop programs that get employees excited, motivated, and energized thus building a culture of teamwork, growth, and meaningful values
• Partners with Payroll and Accounting regarding benefits introduction and reconciliation
• Is a constant communicator to the entire Dairy Store Division for all that is relevant to the HR and Talent initiates for our employees
• Serves as a resource for employees regarding proper documentation of benefits, requested leaves of absence, clarification of the handbook, Company policies, and Company programs/standards
• Assures fair and consistent administration of all HR policies and practices and is up to date with federal and state regulatory agencies
• Conducts compensation analysis, exit interviews, employee investigations, and employee appreciation events
• Serves as a resource for all safety initiatives and safety training within our store network
• Assists in developing long term HR strategies for a highly growing division/organization
• Resolves employee concerns or issues
• Special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess:

• A positive attitude with the ability to excel in a team environment
• Restaurant HR experience required
• Higher level education (BS)
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• 5 to 10 years of Human Resource’s experience
• The ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Strong conflict resolution skills
• Strong analytical, written, oral, and communication skills
• An unrelenting desire to learn, support, analyze, and drive results for all departments

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $55,000 - $80,000 based on experience

Days: M-F

Hours: Full-time
