The Human Resources Intern is responsible for supporting the Human Resources department general administration and special projects including but not limited to talent acquisition and management, HRIS, benefits, organizational development and training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle full cycle recruiting efforts; prepare job postings, place recruitment ads, screen applicants and resumes, conduct candidate interviews and reference checks, and provide hiring managers with best qualified candidates; communicate employment offers to selected candidates and negotiate counter offers when required.
- Assist in working with client groups to coordinate job matching process, review data when surveys are complete and analyze market survey data trends.
- Partner with managers in creating job descriptions for open positions and in conducting jobs analyses for current employees.
- Coordinate implementation of recruitment efforts to target social media channels and monitor the social media landscape to recommend emerging trends, tools or programs.
- Process, verify and maintain personnel related documentation, including but not limited to background check, new hire paperwork, e-verify, and status change
- Manage Human Resources communication through development and maintenance of Human Resources related content on internal and external websites.
- Maintain employee files.
- Process various forms related to documenting Human Resources activities such as new-hire, change-of-status, performance evaluations, benefits, terminations, etc.
- Assist HR staff and manager with additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Pursuing a degree in progress in Human Resources or an applicable discipline.
- Strong organizational skills and proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude, high energy, enthusiastic and detail oriented.
- Recruit and evaluate applicants using independent judgment and discretion.
- Proactive in anticipating issues and following through on resolution.
- Effective in prioritizing and executing tasks.
- Ability to quickly learn, understand and apply new technologies.
- Understand administrative procedures and systems.
- Expert in Microsoft Office.
