Job Description
Turnwell Mental Health is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to support clinic and corporate operations on all HR initiatives. As a company with an acquisition/growth focus, this role will serve as a liaison between the Clinics, HR Support Organizations, Plan Advisors/Brokers and the Corporate Leadership team. This individual will be responsible for the day-to day operations of the HR department to ensure systems, plans, and tasks are functioning in line with company goals.
Responsibilities:
- Support clinic and corporate leadership in the management of employee relations, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance reviews, occupational health and safety requirements, and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with the HR Support Organization on the setup of new acquisition benefit plans, employee onboarding, enrollment, and any relevant benefit account setup.
- Serve as a liaison with the HR Support Organization in the administration of Human Resource programs including, but not limited to, payroll, workers’ compensation, benefits, and leave.
- Partner with clinic leadership in the preparation and audit process for Accreditation Organizations.
- Monitor HR department related invoices to ensure timely payment by the Accounts Payable team.
- Collaborate with HR Support Organization to monitor the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local. employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Support clinics by auditing compliance with external regulatory standards and internal expectations involving employee licensing and training.
- Report to senior management by analyzing data and using HR metrics.
- Coordinates the implementation of policies, processes, and training initiatives to support the organization's Human Resource compliance and strategy needs.

Education and Experience:
- Three to five years of experience as a Human Resource Manager or Director required.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Experience participating in Accreditation Surveys (e.g., Joint Commission, CARF) preferred.
- SHRM-CP or PHR highly preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
